Devin has stolen the show many times guest appearing on other artists joints including Dr Dre’s “Fuck You,” De La Soul’s “Babyphat”, Scarface’s “Fuck Faces”.

Be sure to cop Devin’s new album Suite #420. Very much in the Devin style, there are skits with voices, smoke cuts, and spaced out balads. Stand out cuts are “We Get High”, “Ultimate High”, and “Where Ya At”, where Devin goes in on his lady in a funky, beating out the trunk smoke infused balad, that is up there with his best dirty south rap balad. Cop the album, and blaze it.

Still suffering from 2 massive strokes, the latest in September of 08′, Nate Dogg is unable to speak, or sing, and is confined to a wheelchair. This Project Sound Spotlights is Nate Dogg.

Nate Dogg (nee. Nathaniel Hale born on August 19, 1969) may quite possibly be one of most underappreciated members of the Dogg Pound. Simply put, his vocal talents have been lent to such west coast hip hop classics as “Ain’t No Fun”, “B Please”, “Girls All Pause”, DJ Quik’s “Black Mercedes” Xzibit’s “Multiply” and 2Pac’s “Teardrops and Closed Caskets. Nate Dogg in many ways provided the concept of the R and B singer being a focal point in Hip-Hop music as the smooth yang to hardcore hip-hop’s yin. Nate has also influenced a host of other artists such as Butch Cassidy, Otis and Shug, T-Pain and a host of others who have since appeared on hip-hop records as well as R and B artists who have included rappers on their songs such as Usher, R-Kelly, Trey Songs and many others. It could be argued that he in many ways could have changed the way that Hip-Hop and R&B songs were created. A true legend indeed.

Westcoast Ridah Report Thanks 4 Jaking 2009

Another year almost ghost on the wild west coast, and more wack azz awards shows pass and no westcoast representation, or awards… Remember when E40 was supposed to perform but never got to? well alas at least Snoop made a semi-appearance … yeah it was nice to see the Doggfather.. but that rest of that show was pure wackness. As Westcoast artists continue to get swagga jacked like the Pilgrims jacked the original peoples of this land… old and new heads continue to grind it out. Someone from the west finally speaks on the misrepresentation of these so-called “award” shows, and it is Snoop himself.. taking it tough to the mic on his new cut “Protocol” – fresh from Malice in Wonderland his new album set to release Dec 8th 2009. Yeah and forget that Malice in Wonderland website, there is actually a group by the same name.. but def not the Doggfather. With much anticipation of from the King of the West West… many OG artists are stepping back up to the plate like Ricky Henderson looking for his last hit.

While legends of the game, should be well respected and remembered.. and not give up that mic, like Cube proclaimed on one of those wack award shows.. we hardly ever see artists from the West come out of semi-retirement. This year we have seen artists return to the mic including: MC Ren, Mac 10, RBX, Conscious Daughters, D-Shot, 4-Tay, Del, and Big Hutch (end of 08). Recently Bay Area Artists Mac Shawn, Suga T, and Agerman .. have made some waves in the bay waters… Mac Shawn known from his work in the bay, and from the Click .. is working with Daz on some new joynts, Suga T, showed up on D-Shot’s new album and at the Snoop concert in the bay .. along with Mac Shawn, and 4tay. Agerman from the crazy popular group from the Town 3 X Krazy, has shown up on “Da Town” remix with Yukmouth… Agerman after leaving 3 X took the gospel rap route… but all of a sudden is he back?! btw cant underspeak Richie Rich being on the same “Da Town” remix.. Who the hell is gonna come out of the woodwork in 2010? Its good to see those who still can contribute get back in the game, as well as the youngsta’s putting in work all over the coast. While hip hop heads suffer with the wackness that is pushed on your ears, the underground ridahs continue to grind it out.. Until Daunda Top 20 returns here is some Westcoast flavor to help you grind it out..
